[/vc_column_text][az_single_image image=”6018″ margin_top=”30″ margin_bottom=”20″][vc_column_text margin_top=”30″ margin_bottom=”30″]Fondazzjoni Dar il-Hena runs two emergency shelters, Dar Papa Frangisku and Dar Maria Dolores and a long term residential shelter, Reach Residential Home. The primary purpose of both emergency shelters and the residential shelter is to offer the basic needs to vulnerable people, including accommodation, food and hygienic services.

The Role

The position of Head requires the selected person to assume full responsibility of the operational and administrative aspects of the unit. This involves overseeing the services offered by the unit to the service users to the finest detail, ensuring that these are of the highest standard and that any arising challenges are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner.

The Head is directly accountable to the Manager of Fondazzjoni Dar il-Hena.

The Person

This role necessitates a charismatic and energetic person with effective leadership qualities and managerial skills. The candidate will ideally have direct experience and knowledge in the field of homelessness. Individuals interested to apply shall also meet the following criteria:

  • Be highly organized, reliable, and have a strong aptitude for teamwork;
  • Be mature with sound moral values;
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication in both Maltese and English;
  • Be IT literate;
  • A degree in a social science will be considered as an asset;
  • Possess a clean driving licence;
  • Previous experience in leadership in a similar position would be considered an asset.
