Women and Epilepsy

The next members’ meeting of the Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association will be held on Friday 8th March 2019 at 6pm.

Please note that since the lift at Caritas Malta is out of order this meeting will be held in Sala San Pawl, Catholic Institute, Floriana.   

In view of the fact that this meeting will coincide with Women’s Day the theme of the meeting is Women and Epilepsy

Our guest Speaker will be Dr Sarah Sultana Grixti. Dr Sultana Grixti graduated in medicine from the University of Malta in 2011. She has been working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 2013.  She was admitted as member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2016 and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2018. She has also graduated with a Masters degree in Reproductive Health from the University of Malta in 2016 and was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2013.   Dr Sarah Sultana Grixti has worked at Mater Dei Hospital Malta and the Royal London Hospital – Barts NHS London, UK. She has a special interest in Maternal Medicine and thus dealing with both medical disorders that predate pregnancy and medical disorders that arise in pregnancy.

We are also pleased to inform you that a copy of the recently-launched Epilepsy Toolkit just launched by CMEA will be given to all those present for the meeting.
