Caritas Youths’ aim is to help Caritas Malta achieve its mission statement to the full. This group came into function in 2015 and it will continue to operate with a new team in 2018. As a team we would like to motivate young people and give them a vision to look up to. Caritas Europe is also focusing its energy on young people during the year 2018 by conducting the Caritas Cares study on young people and their importance in society. The 2018 Regional Conference will be held in Georgia and its main focus will be young people within Caritas Member Organisations across Europe. Another conference regarding young people will be held in Vienna next November. This shows that young people within Caritas are very important. Below you can find the conditions and criteria of the group.
For one to be eligible to form part of Caritas Youths they must be between the ages of 18 and 30; they can be also a bit older than 30 years of age. It was decided to tackle this age group as young people of this age still have the young vibrant energy but unfortunately there are limited amount of groups that can be accessed by these people. Caritas Youths aims to gather these young people and make use of their energy to help Caritas and those people who are in need.
