PAYROLL & ADMINISTRATION CLERK (full-time or part-time)

Fondazzjoni Caritas Malta invites applications for the role of Payroll and Administration Clerk to work on a full-time basis (part-time applicants will also be considered). Reporting to the Personal Assistant to the Director, the chosen applicant will be providing support for a number administrative functions:

  • monitoring employee’s attendance sheets;
  • collect attendance data and process staff salaries accordingly;
  • maintain employee payroll files;
  • submit the necessary statutory forms and liaise with local authorities / governmental entities;
  • issuing periodic and ad hoc reports;
  • provide support in general office duties;
  • minute taking;
  • providing clerical and administrative support to senior management;
  • managing and distributing information internally;
  • assisting in staff events and organisational activities;

We are looking for a smart person with a pleasant personality who meets the following requirements:

  • have a minimum of two years of experience working in payroll and in an office environment;
  • in possession of a minimum of MQF level 5 qualification in a related subject;
  • must be knowledgeable on payroll procedures within the local law context;
  • be highly proficient in the use of electronic submissions, payroll software, and Microsoft Office applications particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • be highly organized, flexible and have an eye for details;
  • be capable of working on own initiative as well as in a team;
  • be able to meet deadlines and to work under pressure;
  • possess excellent written and spoken communications skills in both Maltese and English languages;
  • have a strong aptitude to work in the social field;
  • have sound moral values;
