Fondazzjoni Caritas Malta invites applications for the role of Counsellor or Psychotherapist or Psychologist to work within the services provided at Head Office, on a full-time basis.
This role is a key frontline element in the organisation. The selected person shall form part of a team of professionals whose main goal would be to address the needs of vulnerable individuals and families. The professional shall be responsible for a generic caseload consisting of a variety of presenting problems and shall provide sessions to clients who seek individual or couple therapy, ensuring follow-up of each case as required. The selected person shall also be involved in the coordination of the various support groups that are provided by Caritas and ensure that these are being facilitated as expected. The chosen candidate shall be also tasked with facilitating workshops to the public and hold interventions in the media when necessary.
The Counsellor/Psychotherapist/Psychologist is directly accountable to the Head of Unit.
The individuals interested in this role shall meet the following requirements:
- Possess a Masters degree in the relevant field of study;
- Preference will be given to candidates already in possession of a warrant;
- Be highly organized and have a strong aptitude for teamwork;
- Be mature with sound moral values;
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication in both Maltese and English;
- Be IT literate;
