Interactive sessions for students in State, Church and Private schools aimed at character building, resistance to negative peer pressure and knowledge of the harmful effects of dugs and other substances

• Focus - A programme for pupils/students up to Form III level.
• Weekend Seminars – Residential sessions for IV and V Formers
• Pit Stop Club – Follow-up meetings to Weekend Seminars
• Parental Skills Courses – Inerteractive sessions on parenting, held in various localities in Malta..

• Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – A programme offered to companies to enable management identify employees’ personal issues and give assistance on them.

COUNSELLING AND SOCIAL WORK

Caritas Malta psychologists and social workers give counselling to persons with personal, social, psychological, emotional or psycho-spiritual issues. We deal with over 1,500 cases each year.

Caritas Malta provdes a framework and support to self-help groups including :

Gamblers Anonymous For persons with compulsive gambling
GamAnon – For the families of gamblers

Ro-Se – For widowed and separated persons

 Ro-Se  For young separated persons

Epilepsy Association – For persons with epilepsy and their families. An extensive website is available at www.caritasmalta.org 

Thursday Club – For persons with mental health difficulties

Huntington’s Family Support Group – For the families of persons with Huntington’s disease.

We also host

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and A lAnon - For persons with drinking problems, and their families.

Emotions Anonymous (EA) - for persons with emotional difficulties



COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Caritas Malta reaches out to people in need in the several parishes in Malta by co-ordinating the setting up of Diaconia Commissions in Parishes and providing advice and support as necessary in their operations.
